Makalu Region

One of the well kwon more than 8000 meter high Mountain Mt. Makalu (8463 m.) is located in eastern part of Nepal, 22 Km. east from Mt. Everest on the border between Nepal and Tibet. Mt. Makalu is the fifth highest Mountain in the world. Makalu is protected under Makalu Barun National Park, the area covered by Makalu Barun National Park is 2,330 Sq. Km.
